Long-time MPI member and former Ottawa chapter board member Ruta Klicius is stepping into semi-retirement. In the meantime, she will be coaching and mentoring the new Manager, Conventions at the Canadian Veterinary Medical AssociationSarah Cunningham. While minimizing working hours, Klicius is still interested in opportunities where temporary help of a meeting planner may be needed. You can connect with Klicius at kliciusruta@gmail.com.

The chic & swell and LouLou Lounge teams are coming off the high of what was an incredible year. 2017 exceeded their expectations and they were thrilled to be part of so many events that defined this grand 150th Canadian celebration! During this exciting year, they welcomed the newest member to their team: Patti Johnson. A recent graduate of the Algonquin College Event Management Program, Johnson is a ray of sunshine and a very talented event coordinator. They could not be any happier to have her join their team.

Congratulations to Lori Wagner, who will be joining the Meeting Encore family beginning on January 15. Meeting Encore knows her 22 years of business events experience will allow her to flourish in the role of Regional Director in Ottawa. Wagner encourages members of the industry to reach out, even prior to her start date, at lwagner@meetingencore.com.
