I was born in Switzerland, but my family immigrated to Canada in 1991 when my dad invested in a dairy farm in Avonmore. Growing up on a farm was very busy as it was strictly family operated and there were lots of mandatory chores to be done on a daily basis. It was a great growing up on a farm where at a young age we learned life lessons such as; the value of a dollar, success for hard work, teamwork and family is everything.
The dairy farm was not calling my name so I attended Algonquin College for Restaurant Hotel Management in 1999. That led to my career in the meetings industry.
